Use a survey to asses your sociocultural awareness and tendency to hold prejudice

Use Project Implicit to test your unconscious bias

Designed by Psychologists, Project Implicit aims to bring bias beliefs, held unconsciously, to the light. Feel free to take whichever Implicit Association Test is most closely related to your life.

Example: If you work mostly with people of the same gender as you, the most knowledge will be gained from the Gender-Career IAT.

How to use Project Implicit:

IAT instructions

Use the Quick Discrimination Index Survey to test your awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity and gender equality.

This survey tests your comfort during personal interactions with racially diverse populations and your belief that gender determines success.

Use an adaptation of the Anti-Defamation League’s Personal Self-Assessment of Anti-Bias Behavior to determine if you actively challenge bias in your environment.

This survey is a thought tool. Use your results to gauge how much you actively fight against prejudice and to think of ways to increase your efforts in the future.

Continue to Step 2. Follow the Teamwork Guide to help your group decrease prejudice. Consider an optional activity that examines stereotypical media portrayals.
